The Picture of Your
Smile
written by : Fairisha Embriany
First time when my
eyes found you
It was hard to blink
even swing them round
You blocked the visual
which shouldn’t be only you
Freezing my sight,
that smile was stunning
I got your smile
framed beautifully in my mind
The focus of my eyes
magically captured it in the memory
That smile was
printed and looks clearly on my face
It showed how I was dragged
along by your smile.
Doubt and conviction
came,
When my lens focused
coincide every times you smile
Doubting if my eyes
did the right thing?
And convinced that
you realized how I am amazed by your present
May I thank your
smile through imagination?
Hoping those
beautiful smiles were given to me.
Losing control when
your eyes caught my sight of you.
Felt like being
handcuffed, I was on edge.
Worrying if you might
be unpleasant.
We might not close
enough to be in love,
but, We are not too
far to not know each other.
Distance told me that
love was on my side,
not yours, even ours.
Your smile symbolize
my obsession
Looking them, Like
the shady light of stars
Can only be seen,
they cannot be own.
